Event Description:
Each year, the Silver Lake Civic Association hosts two bean bag tournaments to help ward off the winter blahs. We always have one in January and one in March. These events include meat raffles, silent auctions and other surprises! Food and beverages (both NA and alcoholic) are always available for purchase. We use the profits generated at these events to support community projects and events.
This double elimination tournament has regular and co-ed brackets. The fee per team is $25.00. Registration for the event begins at 10:30 AM and we begin playing around 11:00 AM. "Hard Luck" rounds begin after teams are eliminated and folks can participate in those for a substantially lower cost per team. The majority of our entry fees are paid out in prizes for winners.
SIDE NOTE ABOUT THE ADDRESS: the Silver Lake Auditorium is located in the middle of town. Google Maps has the address as "320 Main Street East" and our brochure and city staff say it's at "320 Main Street West". Just find the Silver Lake Municipal Liquor Store, go about a block west and you'll be in good shape.
